I couldn't stand it anymore. The sponge painting from many years ago HAD to go...so I've been painting over it and now it's a pretty cream with a hint of brown. The hallway looks so much bigger and I changed up some picture grouping to freshen the look up.

I found this dress on clearance at TJ Maxx. It has a vintage look and I love the teal/blue color. The detail is so unique with the circles.
The other week, I rearranged some furniture in my living room and by doing so made more wall space to hangart. The art is from Timssally and Kitty Genius of Etsy. The orange shelf was in the laundry room with it's twin and I decided to separate and paint them. The Mary statue and Frieda picture is from my latest Asheville visit.
Tuesday Paige and her friend went to the arcade and to play miniature golf. Here's proof they had fun. They are so alike even down to their feet.

Paige and I went to Asheville this week and as usual had a wonderful time. The town is full of colorful people, inspiration and an openness to anything. I feel so at home there. I visited my favorite thrift shop for clothes. I made the usual stops...The Screen Door, The Loft, Woolworth's Gallery, Street Market and Paige's new favorite, Tru Blue Art Store. My niece also took me through some funky neighborhoods for some curb appeal inspiration. I also took inspiration from the town planters filled with evergreens and grasses.
Paige's room is almost complete except her dresser that I'm refinishing. She needed some art for above her dresser and wanted something to reflect the new style of her room. Last week when Laura spent the night, they took a bunch of pictures. She use Adobe to recreate them.

This week, well, has been hectic, exhausting and very unusual from the norm. I've been painting Paige's room from top to bottom...pictures later...and just trying to get it back together. On Monday I had to bury one of my beloved original outside cats. Petey, I think, was bitten by a snake. Very sad. Then, on Tuesday, my husband brought this home and I helped him unload it. This is his latest toy which he says is a fix-up - turnaround and sell car.Today, Paige went for her annual physical. The doctor noticed her knee, which she's injured several times, was making a grinding noise suggesting maybe a tear in a ligament. She's scheduled for a MRI next Thursday and could possibly have surgery before school starts back.
Next week will be hectic but pleasurable. Paige and I are going to Asheville again on Tuesday and Wednesday. Can't wait to go and see my niece and the favorite sites of the town. I'm going to leave everything in order and come back relaxed and calm.
Our UPS man calls our driveway "The Batcave" because our trees canopy over the drive to the back of the house. This afternoon he backed in and delivered Paige's new futon for her room.
She's thrilled to have this in her soon to be redone room. It's from Target.

I visit Wardrobe Remix everyday to see the fashion style people put together. Today I found a background to one of the pictures that Paige and I are going to use on her closet door. It will be fun to duplicate on a smaller scale.
For Paige's room I made a quick pillow for her new room decor out of one of her band t-shirts. I just cut the sleeves off and sewed it right up. It's so soft and is very unique.
Saturday afternoon, my friend and I finally did something we've been talking about for a long time...We got tattoos. It was liberating and I felt different when I left. The shop was clean and new and the artists were 20's and 30ish. It did sting at first but wasn't anything like I thought. I went first and I thought my friend was going to pass out. My tattoo is very small but speaks volumes. Not a clear picture. But it's a creature with a skeleton face Matt the artisit drew.
